Mercury is a bold future focused organisation, leading the way with renewable energy and working toward a sustainable future. At the heart is our purpose; Taking care of tomorrow, connecting people and place today. This pushes us to do all we can to create a better future for our people, communities, and Aotearoa.

We generate electricity from 100% renewable sources: hydro, geothermal and wind. We are also a retailer of electricity, gas, broadband and mobile services. Our offices are based in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua and Taupo. We have generation sites spread across the upper North Island.

  • PARENTAL LEAVE

    26 weeks fully paid Primary Carer Leave – receive a “top up” of the IRD payments to your normal salary. 4 weeks of Partner Leave – with the flexibility to take this in the first 13 months.

    BEREAVEMENT LEAVE

    Providing support so that you can take the time you need. It can be taken when you lose anyone close to you, including your pet.
