Meet the WLT team

Behind Work Life Tauranga, are people with lived experience on relocating internationally to Tauranga. Meet Meg and Melissa, the team behind the website and your personal handshake into the Western Bay of Plenty.
These are their stories.

Kia ora, Meg here!
I relocated to Tauranga from Perth, Australia, for a 12 month career break… and 6 years later, I am still here. Funnily enough, I made my decision to move after connecting with Priority One, and serendipitously,
I now work for them. What keeps me here is the people. The friendships and connections I have made, have inspired living life by my design.
Long summer evenings spent in the ocean, and weekends spent hiking with friends. I align my mahi (work) with purpose driven organisations, where I feel like I can make a difference to my community. My roots here in Tauranga run deep. I look forward to welcoming you.

Kia ora, Melissa here!
I am a creative who relocated to Tauranga Moana seven years ago with my daughter to enjoy the lifestyle and vibrant community I found after location scouting for a film project. I had come home after living in the US for 20 years because New Zealand for me, is a better place to raise a child. I discovered the many treasures this region is rich with and wanted to experience this up close.
At that time, Work Life Tauranga was instrumental in connecting me to other creatives in the local film industry and I easily secured work. My journey has come full circle and through my current role with Priority One and this platform I can use my lived experience to support you to live, work and play here while promoting the growth of this beautiful city I love to call home.

The team at Work Life Tauranga, would like to warmly acknowledge our friends at Tourism Bay Of Plenty for the use and supply of the stunning imagery which showcases our regions best
